Dear Remi,

I am writing to you on a still and peaceful night here in the North Pole. The elves have hung up their tools for the evening, the reindeer are curled up fast asleep, and outside my window the snow is glittering softly beneath a sky full of stars. It is on quiet nights such as this, Remi, that I love to sit by the fire and think of all my wonderful friends around the world... including you!

On an evening as calm as this one, my thoughts often drift to dreams. Not just the ones we have when we are tucked up fast asleep, but the dreams we carry in our hearts for all that might lie ahead. Dreams really are the most marvellous things, aren't they?

I wonder, Remi, what it is that you dream of? Perhaps you dream of soaring high above the clouds, or of grand adventures in faraway places waiting to be explored. Or perhaps, like so many children at this time of year, you dream of Christmas morning, spent with all the people you love the very most.

Whatever it is you dream of, I do hope you never stop. For here is something I have learned in all my years: there is no such thing as a dream too big or too small. The tiniest dreams and the most enormous ones all matter just the same, and every single one is precious. So keep on dreaming, Remi, tonight and all year long. You never know where those wonderful dreams might take you...
