Dearest Poppy,

I am so pleased that you have finally lost your first tooth - I have been waiting such a long time to come and collect it!

Before we get into that, I best introduce myself. I am the Tooth Fairy and I have the very important job of retrieving and looking after teeth when children lose them. You see, once carefully collected, I take them with me to the Fairy Kingdom where they are checked, cleaned and stored for safe keeping. You should see my collection!

It is an honour to come and visit you tonight, Poppy, as this marks a very special occasion - one that is an important moment in any child’s life. It is the time when, tooth by tooth, you begin to grow up. 

I cannot wait to see the amazing adventures you have ahead of you, but remember to always celebrate the important moments and milestones in your life. Each of these is what makes you unique and special, and the occasion of losing your first tooth is one to remember!
